Antartic station equipped by Electrolux

In Industry News On

THE world’s first zero emissions Antarctic station, Princess Elisabeth, which will run almost entirely on sustainable energy, thanks to eight wind turbines, solar panels and state-of-the-art insulation, has been unveiled in Belgium.
The 700 square metre station has been equipped with a full range of energy-efficient Electrolux appliances, which will provide a comfortable living and working environment to 20 polar scientists probing the ancient ice layer for clues to climate change.

In October, the station will be disassembled for sea freighting to Antarctica and final assembly next year.
