Home appliance brand Beko is back on television screens this March with two campaigns to support its range of EcoSmart appliances and large capacity washing machines.
This year, in order to champion the brand’s commitment to energy efficiency, Beko will be communicating the money saving benefits available on its EcoSmart range. The brand is investing in marketing activity that includes a 360 degree campaign, including TV advertising, PR, social media and digital. Beko’s energy saving claims for its new EcoSmart range of kitchen appliances have been verified by the Energy Saving Trust and will be highlighted across promotional materials with the ‘Energy Saving Trust verified’ logo.
The TV adverts will run from 3rd March with an anticipated reach of 17 million people – 66% of the ABC1 target audience, driving consumer demand for Beko’s EcoSmart appliances in-store and online. The campaign will be supported by three humorous 10-second online videos that will feature on Beko’s website and Facebook page.
Following verification from the Energy Saving Trust, Beko can reveal that switching from older less efficient appliances to appliances in its EcoSmart range could save consumers up to £118 per year. This figure is based on replacing 4 appliances with Beko EcoSmart versions, as compared to the most commonly bought energy rating in 2012.
Tom Lock, certification manager at the Energy Saving Trust commented: “On average in the UK, running costs of appliances accounts for around 45% of the annual household electricity bill. Therefore it’s important that domestic appliances are as energy efficient as possible to help protect consumers from rising energy bills. We’re keen to ensure that all energy-using appliances are making accurate energy saving claims so consumers can make informed purchasing decisions about the best products for them.”

The Beko large capacity washing machine advert focuses on the benefits of being able to wash a 9KG load in just 39 minutes and reinforces Beko’s quality credentials highlighting the 9 out of 10 average customer review score across the large capacity washing machine range.
