
With the upcoming software release, Bluesound owners will be able to enjoy Spotify’s home audio experience with hassle-free music control and instant access to Spotify’s curated playlists, personalized radio, and catalogue of music in any room of the house. Spotify Connect can also be streamed to multiple Bluesound Players simultaneously in the home.
With the introduction of Spotify Connect to Bluesound, customers can enjoy over 20 million songs, streamed to Bluesound’s HiFi music players through a home network, either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, with control on any iOS or Android device. Bluesound has reportedly developed custom hardware and software to ensure that the digital signal remains true to the artist’s original recording.
Bluesound director of technology and product planning Greg Stidsen says: “Spotify Connect is a perfect addition to Bluesound’s digital and streaming technologies. Spotify Premium subscribers who want true high-performance fidelity have been able to start streaming Spotify Connect on Bluesound Players since July 1, 2014. Users will need to upgrade their Bluesound Players to software version 1.10.0 or higher and download the updated iOS App v1.10.0 or Android App v1.10.0 to be able to experience Spotify Connect on Bluesound.
