A new partnership has been announced between The Clarity Alliance, the trade alliance for the UK’s hi-fi industry and the National Audio Show.
The move will bring Clarity and its members to the Chester Group’s flagship UK show September 20-21, and is planned to appeal to a much broader audience, as well as the existing hi-fi fan. The Clarity Alliance has taken over the Luffield Suite, one of the largest suites at the National Audio Show, within which many of its manufacturer members will present their products; bringing some big name brands to the show for the first time. Brands signed up to date include: PMC, AudioQuest, Heed Audio, KEF, Ortofon, Project, Teac, Audio Technica and B&W, with others to be announced.
Clarity will also be holding a series of seminars in the Luffield Suite, with guest speakers presenting on subjects such as ‘Demystifying Computer Audio’. Further details of the topics and speakers will be confirmed.
In keeping with the desire to make the NAS into a true ‘show’, Clarity will also be announcing a special guest from the music industry who will be presenting an exclusive concert on the Saturday evening for show-goers.
Clarity chairman Laurence Armstong said: “The National Audio Show is a rapidly flourishing event and for many is now a staple in the annual show calendar. Its central location in the UK, at the popular Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa, makes it easy to get to for the ever-growing audience of audio enthusiasts, whose interests span the whole gamut of technology and price-points.” He adds: “There promises to be something for everyone at the show and we are working hard in the background to bring a number of imaginative and appealing attractions to NAS and endorse the organiser’s ambitions to make this the best independently run ‘show’ in the country.”
