Clive Coombes, the property tycoon who was unsuccessful in trying to resurrect Comet, will open the first store of his new electricals venture this weekend.

Coombes’ Lewisons business will open its first shop in Bournemouth and will trade as @Outlet35 but subsequent openings will be under the Lewisons moniker.

The @Outlet35 store will trade in both consumer electronics and white goods.

The project sets out a 50-80 store long-term target and a stock market listing on AIM for the chain and it is said its expansion will begin across the south and south west next year.
