Buying group Euronics has launched a concerted effort to recruit independent retailers.
Euronics chief executive Stuart Cook said: “In this very tough market, Euronics continues to invest in its members, both at local and national levels, and I’m quite confident that to survive in this fierce and challenging market, there is no doubt that independents need to be in a buying group.
“Those independents that have not joined a buying group will become vulnerable. It’s been a tough ride over the last few years, but the pace of change in retail will not abate and my message is quite clear: the doors of Euronics are open to independents who want to become part of Europe’s leading electrical buying group, and benefit from the range of services that are available to our members across the UK.”
Former Indesit Company field sales director Geoff Woodman is responsible for introducing new dealers to the buying group.
Euronics has 600 members, who operate around 1,100 shops in the UK.
