A serious fire at the Coolectric warehouses and offices in Newport Pagnell on Wednesday 15th January 2014 has totally destroyed all stock and severely damaged offices and buildings. All staff are safe and well.

The 45,000 square foot warehousing facility was operated by Coolectric Ltd, the appointed importer for Liebherr commercial and consumer refrigeration products in the UK. Coolectric Ltd are part of the Crown Imperial Group.

Mark Bristow, Managing Director of Coolectric said “I am pleased that all of the staff in the building and neighbouring premises were able to evacuate to safety and nobody has been hurt or injured. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Emergency Services and local authorities for their swift response to the incident”.

Mr Bristow announced that the entire stock of 7,000 consumer and commercial refrigeration units in the warehouse has been completely destroyed, however he was working with Liebherr factories to replenish stocks as soon as possible. Contingency operational plans are in hand and new premises have already been sourced to store and distribute new stock as it arrives in to the country.

Service and support staff who are field based continue to operate as normally as possible and all staff will endeavour to honour existing appointments.

Office functionality will re-start on Monday 20th January with telephone and operational systems being reinstated in temporary accommodation. For the time being if you have any urgent enquiries please forward them to sales@coolectric.co.uk where they will be actioned appropriately.

The management and staff at Coolectric thank all their customers for their best wishes and understanding at this time and they look forward to offering as near normal service as possible from Monday morning.
