The recent Indesit trade show demonstrated the company’s ambitious plans for 2008 for all of its three brands.
Acknowledging that the kitchen has become a place where people express their personalities and demonstrate their lifestyle aspirations, Indesit made a considerable investment not only in product development but also in design, ensuring that its appliances have the latest look and stand out from the crowd.
This is perhaps best exemplified by its cooling range. The clever configuration of the Hotpoint 70cm wide ‘4-Door’ fridge freezer – the first of its kind in this market – offers an accessible alternative to the space-hungry American style SBS. Also the Indesit Iridium, with its sleek LCD control panel, has two innovative functions – Super Cool and Super Freeze – which allow to quickly reduce the temperature in the fridge and freezer after a load of groceries is added.
The new product developments at Hotpoint are to be supported by £3 million advertising in 2008, which will include the new Aqualtis washer dryer which comes with greater drying efficiency but reduced energy consumption.
New product developments are also planned for Cannon which will have two additions to its Professional range: the Professional 110 and the Professional 90 – the 90cm and 110cm dual fuel range cookers, the 110cm model with multi wok burner. They will be promoted by the chef Tony Tobin – the face of Cannon cooking.
