The task of getting the UK ready for the digital radio upgrade will be delivered by a new organisation to be called Digital Radio UK. Digital Radio UK will build on the work of the Digital Radio Development Bureau (DRDB) and will incorporate the recently announced Digital Radio Delivery Group to become a new consumer-facing brand that will co-ordinate and manage the expansion of the digital radio platform throughout the UK.
Retra has teamed up with the British Audio-visual Dealers Association (BADA) to offer retra members two new courses; Salescraft Training and Visioncraft. The Salescraft course is a one day sales skills course tailored to the hi-fi retail industry. The Visioncraft course is a new course designed to give a basic level of knowledge of the audio visual sectors to anyone in the industry. It covers such products as HDMI, HD Ready, gaming, monitors, cables and wiring as well as other topics from network, room layouts and set up to the customer’s needs, and the sale.
Panasonic has launched a Full High Definition (HD) 3D Roadshow in the UK, designed to showcase the possibilities of the 3D experience. Three mobile Full HD 3D theatres will visit shopping malls and other locations, giving consumers a preview of the available 3D content as well as the Panasonic Full HD 3D technology.
