Sony has appointed John Anderson as UK and Ireland country head. John will take over the role from incumbent country head, Chris Bowen, at the end of July, when Chris moves to a new role in the travel industry.
John joined Sony in 1990, and has performed a variety of senior marketing, sales and operational roles at a pan-European and country level. After starting his career in Sony’s UK marketing team, John went on to be MD of Sony Austria, and then vice president of customer services Europe.
In his most recent role as vice president of home entertainment and sound, John and his team have worked to turn around Sony’s TV business in Europe. John has an MA from Oxford University and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
