Sanyo has added to its popular Xacti range of camcorders with a new waterproof model.
Building on the success of its Xacti VPC-CA65, the new VPC-CA8 has the added benefits of an 8-megapixel CMOS sensor and a Face Chaser” function which automatically detects and isolates faces to assist the camera’s exposure and auto-focus.
The new model can be submerged at depths of up to 1.5m for up to an hour at a time.
Available in metallic white, blue or orange, the camcorder features the familiar Xacti vertical ‘pistol grip’ body for easy one-handed operation.
