With football fever sweeping the nation, appliance manufacturer Smeg has teamed up with John Lewis to create exclusive, special-edition versions of its FAB5RR minibar-style fridge, which have been wrapped in the Brazil or St. George’s Cross (England) flags. The Brazil version is set to make a cameo appearance on tomorrow’s (June 12) episode of ITV show This Morning.
The mini versions of the 50s-inspired FAB fridge have a 40l capacity and measure 73cm high and 40cm wide. The FAB5RR is fitted with two adjustable shelves and five shelf heights, bottle-holder, internal LED lighting and a snack compartment in the door. ‘Absorption cooling system’ technology means the fridge stays completely silent, Smeg says, so it won’t interfere with consumer enjoyment of the beautiful game.
Both FAB5RR fridges are exclusive to John Lewis. The St. George’s Cross flag FAB5RR fridge will be on display at John Lewis stores in Newcastle, Reading, Croydon, Nottingham and Ashford, while the Brazil flag FAB5RR will be on display at John Lewis stores in Reading, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Cardiff and London’s Oxford Street.
