Sony goes super slim

In Product News On

Sony is claiming a number of world firsts with its new Bravia TV range, including the world’s thinnest LCD TV.

The Bravia ZX1 measures just 9.9mm deep, as thin as a CD case, and uses side-mounted LEDs to illuminate the screen, instead of the usual backlight system. The slimline TV uses the maker’s Bravia 1080 Wireless technology to deliver HD signals from a media receiver.

Sony has also launched the first OLED TV for the European market – the 11in XEL-1 – as well as the Bravia Z4500 which boasts Motionflow 200Hz processing.
