Dyson has launched its first lightweight cylinder vacuum with Ball technology for stable manoeuvring around the tightest corners. The miniature DC38 has been engineered for smaller homes while maintaining the performance of a large vacuum cleaner.
Sitting on a ball, DC38 is lightweight, manoeuvrable and has a low centre of gravity for negotiating tight turns and getting around furniture.
Coupled with a new central steering system, the machine is light to pull, without snagging on corners or the carpet pile. It is equipped with Dyson’s Radial Root Cyclone technology.
James Dyson commented on the launch of the new cleaner: “We thrive on engineering challenges, and our first Dyson Ball cylinder posed quite a few. Cramming over 100 components into the ball itself. Compressing the airways, concealing the motor and ducting and devising a new steering mechanism. We’ve miniaturised the technology to deliver our most manoeuvrable cylinder vacuum yet.”
