Vogel’s, Dutch manufacturer of innovative audio-visual mounting solutions, operating in Europe for over 35 years, has launched its own distribution company in the UK – Vogel’s Product UK – which is bringing to Britain the company’s latest offer, the 8000 Series.
The move comes after the termination of the partnership with BBG which exclusively distributed Vogel’s products in this country for a number of years. The new 8000 series is a range of innovative mounts and a floor stand with distinctive USPs which give retailers an opportunity to sell the company’s high margin add-on products.
The 8000 series features three distinctive product categories (Motion+, Motion and SuperFlat), in four different sizes to ensure maximum compatibility.
Motion+ & Motion
The Motion+ and Motion categories give consumers the possibility to watch their TV from the perfect angle. Offering maximum flexibility, Motion+ turns the flat screen 75º to either side, so that the user can always get the best view, avoiding sun glare or other reflections. Motion+ can also be set perpendicular to the wall with a 90° corner option. The Vogel’s patented Screen Protection System (SPS) prevents TVs from bumping into the wall when turning.
Motion on the other hand, is a good choice for users that require flexibility, but that have less room to manoeuvre, since it still allows them to turn TV screens 45° from side to side.
Meanwhile the SuperFlat mount hangs screens just 2cm from the wall, leaving plenty of room for ventilation and cables – making it a good solution for viewers that want to sit directly in front of the TV.
The 8000 Series is capitalizing not only on the still growing demand for flat panel televisions but also on the huge market opportunities that exist in the AV mounting solutions sector, since only between 15-20% of people place their TVs on the wall, despite a lack of space in increasingly smaller homes.

James Attfield, country manager for Vogel’s Products UK, speaking to IER, commented on sales opportunities in this sector: “Many customers are not taking advantage of space saving benefits of wall brackets. Moreover, nearly 60% of people (according to the recent market research) who purchase a TV set don’t buy brackets at the same time. They subsequently go somewhere else to purchase them. Therefore we want to give independent retail trade relevant products and effective tools to be successful in this market.”
