Liebherr, the German quality refrigeration manufacturer, specialising in high-performance wine storage appliances, used The Wine Show 2007 in London to display new additions to its wide range of wine storage appliances.
The company described by its managing director, Mark Bristow, as the “trade’s best kept secret” has been operating in Western Europe since 1949, although domestic appliances account for only 13% of its sales, with the remainder being heavy construction machinery. The company still manufacturers all its own appliances, and is one of the fastest growing refrigeration brands in the UK.
Liebherr’s wine storage portfolio includes almost 30 models of diverse sizes, capacities and designs – all of high quality and specifications. The WT4677 – its flagship wine cabinet has three temperature zones to suit the needs of various types of wines. Meanwhile, the SBSes7953 – its side-by-side fridge freezer combines food storage with wine storage. While the capacious fridge-freezer has five climate zones for all types of foods, the integrated wine cabinet features two zones.
With wine connoisseurs replenishing their collections in time for the Christmas season, the Liebherr’s portfolio represents a good retail opportunity.
