Roth Audio’s Roth OLi POWA-5 active speakers deliver excellent audio performance and great flexibility to music fans.
They work in a similar way as passive speakers, but a power amplifier is built into one of the two loudspeakers.
The powered speaker should be plugged into the mains, and connected – using the supplied speaker cable – to its passive partner and the system is ready to go. POWA-5 connectivity options include: one pair RCA analogue connecters (eg CD player), one 3.5mm stereo jack input (eg MP3 player), two optical inputs (eg Sky box, and DVD player), and – for ultimate convenience – a built-in Bluetooth receiver.
Domestic possibilities for the POWA-5 include placing them either side of the TV and using them to replace the inferior sound of flat screen TVs or hooking up a subwoofer via the POWA-5’s subwoofer output.
