Slovenia-based home appliances manufacturer Gorenje has joined the Hisense family of consumer electronics brands. The Gorenje brand will continue to operate in the UK, with both sales and support continuing.
The deal, initially announced in May, has now been finalised and will see Hisense UK assume control of Gorenje’s UK operations and logistics, as well as launching new products to the market.
While the Gorenje brand will continue to be available in the UK, a new range of Hisense Cooking products will be introduced in the UK as a result of Gorenje joining the group. Ovens, hobs, hoods and dishwashers are all due to be released in 2019, alongside the existing range of refrigerators and washing machines.
Operationally, within the UK market, Iztok Krulc will continue to head up the Gorenje brand.
