Hughes Electrical has announced the appointment of three new board members; Paul Chisnall, Henrico Doward and Nikki Heffer.
Mark Wardell, the company’s managing director, said: “As we enter a post-pandemic world we are all planning for the future success of the business, meaning we need a forward thinking and dynamic leadership team. The trio all have considerable experience with Hughes.”
Paul Chisnall becomes director of trade and has been in the industry 34 years, 15 with Hughes. He played a leading role in the rapid development and growth of Hughes Trade, which sells to businesses including hotels, restaurants, schools, construction firms and holiday parks.
As director of systems & projects, Henrico Doward will take over responsibility for IT and major projects. He has been at Hughes for 31 years, managed five different shops, been an area manager and latterly group operations manager.
Nikki Heffer is the new HR director with 26 years at the company covering sales and stock control, while also being warehouse personnel manager and HR manager. She is responsible for the wellbeing and development of more than 800staff members at Hughes.
Mr Wardell added: “We have a very strong business model based on four key areas; shops, trade, rental and online – and intend to continue to invest heavily in all of them.
“My vision for Hughes is to be the very best at what we do right across the company. Being a successful business is not just about growth, it is about getting better and better at the things we do to the benefit of all our customers. I look forward to working with Paul, Henrico and Nikki to achieve just that.”
