North Norfolk business Hughes Electrical has stepped in to help a local school complete a special project designed to benefit pupils, their parents and staff.
Millfield Primary School in North Walsham has now created its very own ‘Nurture Room’.
Hannah Halls, part of the school’s Nurture Team, said “The room provides an extra calm and comfortable environment for children, parents and staff to feel at ease, and to come to when they need support of any kind.
“We use the ‘Nurtured Heart Approach’ to provide unique sessions individually tailored to those needing help. It is also a room where children can come and have a snack, cup of juice or even hot chocolate!”
To complete the project, Millfield School asked local businesses for help and Hughes Electrical, based on New Road, stepped in and donated a new microwave.
According to branch manager Declan Woods, “We all know what a major asset the school is to the local community and the great job it does. As a company operating in the town for decades, we were only too pleased to help and are delighted the microwave is being put to such good use.”
Hannah added, “We are very grateful to Hughes for helping us add that extra sparkle to our worktop by providing a gorgeous new microwave.”
