Humax has launched a new model of its Freesat HDR-1000S with a 2TB hard drive. The set-top box delivers all the features of Freesat’s subscription free Freetime service but with 1,200 hours of standard definition (SD) recording space and up to 500 hours for high definition (HD) TV programmes.
The box offers all the features of the Freesat HDR-1000S 1TB, with access to over 200 channels, 11 HD channels and all of the major On-Demand players including BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5. Freetime features also include a Roll Back TV guide to watch the shows you’ve missed from the past seven days and the top TV recommendations from Freetime’s editorial Showcase service. The Freetime recording feature helps organise recordings; saving programmes in ‘box sets’ and ensuring those recordings marked ‘keep’ are never deleted.
The free Freesat mobile companion app also works in conjunction with the Humax set-top box, offering the ability to plan, record and manage programmes to watch.

The Humax HDR-1000S 2TB joins the existing range of Freesat set top boxes, including the Humax HDR-1000S 1TB, and is currently on sale at Humax Direct priced at £299.99.
