retra Install launched

In Industry News On

The retailer’s association, retra, has launched retra Install, a new division to attract installers to the organisation’s membership. The association is looking to recruit installers from the custom installation market, but it also plans to recruit those that already work on behalf of retra members.

Bryan Lovewell, retra’s chief executive, said: “The custom install sector is the fastest growing part of the UK consumer electronics industry and maybe an area that retra members are looking at themselves. Indeed, many of our members are starting to realise the opportunities presented by the custom install sector.

“At a time of margin erosion on consumer electronics, I see custom installation growing, maybe slowly but growing to become a more mass market requirement as opposed to the select market it is now.”

Meanwhile, retra has reached an agreement with The British Audio-Visual Dealers Association (BADA) to use all of the BADA training courses in connection with the retra Install membership.
