Siemens said its new built-under wine cabinets are engineered for high performance as well as boasting the brand’s typical sleek aesthetic.

The iQ500 KU20WVHF0G is 30cm wide and can store up to 21 bottles. Designed as a single-zone wine cabinet, it can be set to a single temperature (between 5 and 20°C), ideal for those who enjoy a specific type of wine.

Siemens recommended between 8 and 12°C for ready-to-drink white wine, between 12 and 19°C for red and around 5 to 8°C for sparkling wine.

The iQ500 KU21WAHG0G is 60cm wide and stores up to 44 bottles. It is a dual-zone cabinet, with two separate spaces that can be set to different temperatures according to whether red or white wine is being stored.

To prevent direct light cause wine to age prematurely, the glass doors of both cabinets have a UV filter that helps to limit the damaging effect of UV rays.

Features of both models include oak shelving and a black aluminium door handle, and they are vented through the plinth. They also come equipped with a reversible hinge, so can be left- or right-hand opening, and a warning alarm in case the door is accidentally left open.

Valerie Posner, category manager for cooling at BSH Home Appliances, said: “We’re excited to be entering a new category with these sensational wine cabinets. The two wine cabinets provide the perfect environment to store your wine in premium condition to retain its original taste and quality.

“With adjustable dual-temperature zones, both red and white can be stored at optimum temperature in the same cabinet. And with the capacity to hold 21 and 44 bottles respectively, our wine cabinets ensure you have substantial space to exhibit your prized collection.”

The 30cm-wide iQ500 KU20WVHF0G has a recommended retail price of £849, and the 60cm-wide iQ500 KU21WAHG0G has a recommended retail price of £1,199.
