Sony’s new indie sales incentive programme

In Industry News On

Sony has launched a new sales incentive programme entitled ‘Drive 4 Colour’, designed to improve staff knowledge of BRAVIA televisions’ picture technology.

The scheme offers Sony independent retailers the chance to win weekly spot prizes – and the ultimate prize of an Alfa Romeo Mito – through the completion of online training modules and reaching pre-determined sales targets.

The incentive programme is open to any permanent member of sales staff at Sony independent retailers. To be in with a chance of taking home the grand prize, entrants need to complete training modules themed around the latest Sony TV technologies such as TRILUMINOS Display, X-Reality Pro and Motionflow XR™.

All stores will also receive ‘mystery shopper’ visits during the scheme, where participants have the opportunity to win on the spot prizes.

Chris Bowen, Country Head for Sony UK and Ireland, commented: “Following the success of last year’s alpha=alfa scheme, we are delighted to replicate it with a new sales incentive programme across another area of our business – we are confident the ‘Drive 4 Colour’ scheme will encourage all of the hard working in-store staff to educate customers about BRAVIA and in turn deliver sales.

“We want retailers to use their newfound knowledge to assure customers about their purchase decision plus really communicate the benefits of technology such as 4K. It is important for us to be able to give something back to the people who work hard on our behalf, advocating Sony up and down the country.”

The scheme, which launched on August 5th, will run for eight weeks, with participating stores encouraged to enter via online portal the ‘Sony Zone’ at www.sonyzone.co.uk
