Caple has expanded its cooking portfolio with a new black glass hob – but this one is different, it’s a Gas-on-Glass Hob, with five burners and a powerful side-positioned triple-ring wok burner.

The new C7895G hob is designed to offer exceptional cooking flexibility for modern family kitchens, the manufacturer said.

With consumers choosing darker finishes throughout the kitchen, the appliance has been developed to complement contemporary cabinetry, worktops and appliances. Its sleek black glass surface and matching black dial controls create a cohesive, premium appearance that is equally at home in a modern or traditional kitchen setting.

A key feature of the new model is its 4.2kW triple-ring wok burner. This layout provides greater flexibility when cooking with larger pans, stockpots and woks, preventing oversized cookware from impacting adjacent cooking zones while allowing users to utilise the full hob surface effectively.

The generous 87cm-wide hob incorporates five gas burners in total, including a rapid burner, two semi-rapid burners and a simmer burner, enables users to manage multiple cooking tasks simultaneously.

Caple’s gas technology has been developed with efficiency in mind. The appliance incorporates DirectHeat+ technology, which directs flames upwards towards the base of the pan at a 45-degree angle. This approach reduces heat loss around the sides of cookware, helping to bring food to temperature more quickly while making cooking more energy efficient.

Luke Shipway, Head of Product at Caple, commented: “Gas cooking continues to hold enormous appeal for consumers who value precise control and immediate responsiveness. With the new C7895G, we wanted to create a product that delivers professional-style cooking performance while responding to current kitchen design trends, and the black glass finish provides a sophisticated design statement.”
