Buying and marketing group Euronics has added three exclusive iRobot vacuum cleaners to the Euronics Agency line-up, it has announced.
With more than a decade of cleaning homes around the world, iRobot has sold more than 13 million home robots worldwide.
Danish brand Witt distributes the iRobot range of intelligent products, which includes vacuum cleaner robot Roomba and floor-washing robot Scooba.
Euronics SDA buyer James Aldridge (pictured left) said: “I’m delighted that Euronics is now able to offer three exclusive iRobot models. iRobot is an innovative company and is the industry leader in the robotics category.
“Offering three exclusive iRobot models will enable Euronics to compete in this growing market.”
Independent electrical retailers currently underperform in the robot sector relative to their share of the total vacuum cleaners’ market, Euronics adds.
Witt UK & Ireland market manager Bo Simonsen (pictured right) said: “2015 will be the year where the robotic market really starts to take hold – consumers and retailers are seeing the many advantages that robotic cleaners offer.
“It is a choice you make to run a vacuum cleaner around your home, but iRobot takes that hassle away for consumers, many of whom are cash rich, but time poor. iRobot does the hard work, so you don’t have to.
“I would encourage Euronics Agents to look at the exclusive iRobot line-up – there are a number of display options available to best show the range in-store.”
