At the Royal Observatory Greenwich, London, Haier officially unveiled its new Horizon Collection, a refrigerator range that redefines home food preservation by going beyond the traditional boundaries of refrigeration.

Built around three core pillars, Time, Space and Imagination, the range responds directly to evolving consumer expectations.

At its core is NutriBank technology, which preserves meat and fish for up to five times longer without freezing, alongside features such as Active Fresh Zone for humidity control and ABT® Pro, delivering 99.99% antibacterial performance.

Together, these innovations position Horizon as a step forward in food preservation and waste reduction.

With capacities of up to 700 litres, the range also reflects growing demand for larger appliances that support bulk buying and improved organisation. Flexible storage solutions, including adjustable shelving and dedicated temperature zones, are combined with integrated water and ice systems to enhance everyday usability.

Horizon also introduces AI-powered functionality to the category.

The AI Food Care System enables inventory tracking, expiry monitoring and storage recommendations, while models featuring a Smart Window allow users to view contents without opening the door, improving visibility and helping to reduce unnecessary energy use.

For retailers, the collection offers clear premiumisation and differentiation opportunities. Design-led features such as glass doors, Motion Glow lighting and large-format displays create strong in-store appeal, while multiple configurations support a tiered offering across price points.

As demand grows for connected, design-focused appliances, Horizon positions Haier at the forefront of the premium refrigeration market.

The Horizon Collection represents a decisive step in our evolution within the cooling category. We combine science, proprietary technology and design to create a range capable of addressing people’s real needs: preserving better, organising better and enhancing everyday life in the kitchen. Presenting it in Greenwich symbolically reinforced our commitment to redefining the concept of time applied to freshness,” said Daniele Pugliese, Head of Cooling, Haier Europe.
