Morphy Richards is making one of the nation’s most familiar kitchen rituals smarter with the launch of the new Halo Alexa Kettle.

Designed for consumers looking for smart kitchen appliances, easy-to-use kitchen technology and connected home appliances, the new kettle allows users to ask Alexa to boil the water, adjust its temperature or keep it warm – all without needing to operate the appliance manually.

Connecting with the Alexa app and compatible speakers, the Halo Alexa Kettle can become part of a wider smart-home routine. Users can incorporate boiling the kettle into their morning schedule – for example, asking Alexa to boil it at 7am so the water is ready when they come downstairs – or activate the kettle through the Alexa app as they arrive home.

Combining smart technology with practical features, the Halo 1.5L Alexa Kettle has capacity for up to six cups and connects with Alexa to allow users to boil water, adjust the temperature or activate the keep-warm function using voice commands.

For different drinks, the LED touch panel offers six temperature settings ranging from 40 to 100 degrees. A digital water level indicator provides a clear display of the volume inside the kettle, while the two-hour automatic keep-warm function can maintain the selected water temperature after boiling and can also be controlled through Alexa.

The kettle features a stainless-steel inner and cool-touch outer body, alongside dry-boil protection which automatically switches the appliance off if it is accidentally activated without water. The kettle includes a limescale filter and descale timer for longevity. A 360-degree cordless base and cord storage help keep worktops tidy, while the matt-black housing and glossy-finish control panel give the smart technology a clean, contemporary finish suited to modern kitchens.
