At the Bristol Hi-fi Show held from 20-22 February, visitors were treated to preview, listen, purchase and pre-purchase many outstanding products from the independent retailer and organiser of the Show, Audio T.

The new Optoma UHZ78LV RGB Triple Laser Projector with Dolby Vision® and IMAX® Enhanced was demonstrated to the public prior to it’s early March availability.
This is Optoma’s new flagship home cinema projector designed to deliver premium large-screen performance in both dedicated theatre rooms and modern living spaces.

The UHZ78LV combines 4K UHD RGB triple-laser projection with 5,000 lumens of brightness and support for Dolby Vision®, HDR10+ and IMAX® Enhanced. Capable of producing images from 80 up to 300 inches, the projector is engineered to provide cinematic scale, vibrant colour accuracy and strong contrast performance, even in environments with ambient light.

At its core is Optoma’s DuraCore Multicolour RGB triple-laser light source, delivering up to 96% BT.2020 and 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage for lifelike colour reproduction. With a dynamic contrast ratio of up to 4,500,000:1 and up to 30,000 hours of laser life, the UHZ78LV is built for long-term home entertainment performance.

The projector is powered by PureEngine™ Ultra image processing, which enhances detail, optimises contrast and ensures smooth motion handling. FILMMAKER MODE™ and ISF calibration options are also supported for users seeking accurate, director-intended presentation Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 compatibility, input lag as low as 8.5ms (1080p/240Hz) for responsive gaming, and eARC support for Dolby Atmos passthrough to external sound systems. Installation flexibility is supported by motorised 1.6x zoom, lens shift and 360-degree projection capability.
