Sirius Buying Group, one of the leading buying groups within the independent appliance and kitchen sector, is looking forward to supporting its 2026 charity partner, OCHRE, at the Group’s September charity auction during its 25th Anniversary Trade Show – confident that its Members and Approved Suppliers will get behind the cause with the generosity they always show.
The auction, one of the highlights of the Trade Show’s Gala Dinner on Wednesday 16th September 2026 at the Arena MK, Milton Keynes, sees Approved Suppliers donate products and experiences for Members to bid on during the evening, with proceeds going directly to OCHRE, the Oesophageal Cancer Charity. With this year’s Gala Dinner also marking the Group’s 25th anniversary, the auction is set to be bigger than ever.

Sirius’s support for OCHRE this year carries particular significance following the recent diagnosis of long-standing Member John Wardman of Domestic Supplies in Mansfield, who was diagnosed with early-stage oesophageal cancer arising from Barrett’s oesophagus and is recently undergone chemotherapy. John’s decision to act on his symptoms rather than continue managing them with over-the-counter medication led directly to his early diagnosis – a story that has resonated across the Group and given this year’s fundraising renewed purpose.
OCHRE works to raise awareness of the symptoms of oesophageal cancer, support patients and their families, and fund research into earlier diagnosis and improved treatment. Sirius and its network have raised well over £200,000 for good causes since the Group was founded in 2001, and Sirius is looking forward to seeing that same spirit shine through for OCHRE this year.
